Ghanaian striker Abdul Aziz Yakubu has officially completed a move to Chinese Super League side Qingdao West Coast FC, marking a new chapter in the career of the talented forward.

The powerful attacker, who previously played for Portuguese side Rio Ave FC, is expected to bring his goal-scoring ability and attacking presence to the rapidly growing Chinese top flight. Yakubu has built a reputation as a hardworking striker with strong physicality, intelligent movement in the box, and an eye for goal—qualities that made him a standout performer during his time in Europe.

Sources close to the deal describe the transfer as an important step for both the player and the club. Qingdao West Coast FC are strengthening their squad as they aim to compete strongly in the Chinese Super League, and the addition of Yakubu is seen as a major boost to their attacking department.

During his spell in Portugal, Yakubu impressed fans and analysts alike with consistent performances. His time with Rio Ave helped him develop into a more complete forward, combining strength, speed, and clinical finishing. Those performances caught the attention of scouts across different leagues, eventually leading to this move to China.

The Chinese Super League has become an increasingly attractive destination for international talents, offering players the opportunity to showcase their abilities on a new stage while helping clubs elevate the quality of football in the country. For Yakubu, the move represents a chance to continue growing his career while introducing his goal-scoring talents to Asian football.

Supporters of Qingdao West Coast FC will be eager to see the Ghanaian striker in action, as expectations are already high that he will become a key figure in the club’s attack. Known for his determination and work ethic, Yakubu is expected to quickly adapt to the league and make an immediate impact.

With his proven scoring ability and experience in European football, many believe the Ghanaian forward has what it takes to light up the Chinese Super League. If he continues the form that made him successful in Portugal, Abdul Aziz Yakubu could soon become one of the most exciting African players performing in China.

All eyes will now be on Abdul Aziz Yakubu as he begins this new journey with Qingdao West Coast FC, hoping to deliver remarkable performances and continue flying the flag of Ghana high abroad.
