Ghanaian striker Abdul Aziz Yakubu made a significant contribution in Wuhan Three Towns’ exciting 3-3 draw against Rongcheng FC in the Chinese Super League on Friday.

Rongcheng FC took an early lead when Romulo scored in the 15th minute after receiving a pass from Felipe Silva.

However, Yakubu showcased his brilliance just before halftime, equalizing for Wuhan Three Towns in the 45th minute with a skillful header into the bottom left corner. The goal ignited the enthusiasm of the home supporters.

In the second half, Chengdu Rongcheng FC extended their lead to 2-1 through Elkeson’s goal in the 52nd minute, assisted by Gong Zhang.

Wuhan Three Towns made a substitution in the 58th minute, bringing on Dinghao Yao to replace the injured Chao He.

Richard Windbichler of Chengdu Rongcheng FC inadvertently scored an own goal in the 67th minute, bringing the scoreline to 2-2. Wuhan’s Ademilson then converted a penalty in the 79th minute to give his team a 3-2 advantage.

However, the visitors didn’t give up, and Filipe Silva scored the equalizing goal in added time.

With this latest goal, Yakubu has now netted three times in six appearances for Wuhan Three Towns.
