Ghana international, Abdul Aziz Yakubu, scored twice and assisted in 43 minutes during Rio Ave’s league game against Porto on Sunday, August 28.
The forward opened the scoring in the 22nd and 43rd minutes of the game before setting up Pedro Amaral 11 minutes later.
Aziz, was Rio Ave’s second top scorer in the second tier division last season as they secured promotion to the top flight.
The player opened his scoring account last weekend in the 2-2 draw against Estoril Praia after failing to score or assist in his first two league games in the Primeira Liga.
Adding to that performance, the 23-year-old was directly involved in three goals against Porto as Rio Ave went 3-0 up in the first half against Porto.
