Ghanaian striker, Abdul Majeed Waris has sealed a move to Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta as the new football season continues.
The 30-year-old joined the club as a free agent after his deal with French side Strasbourg expired this summer. He has signed a two-year contract with Famagusta, keeping him at the club until 2024.
Waris has gained a lot of experience in the European leagues, featuring for the likes of Porto, Nantes, Spartak Moscow and others.
He has also made 31 appearances for Ghana so far, netting four goals. His biggest competition with the Black Stars was at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil where the team was knocked out during the group stages.
In his career, he has made 142 appearances in Ligue 1 with 39 goals and 18 appearances with two goals in the European Cups.
Waris will be looking to make a huge impact on his new adventure.
