Ghanaian forward Benjamin Tetteh has completed a loan move to Slovenian club NK Maribor from French Ligue 2 side FC Metz.
The loan agreement will see Tetteh spend the rest of the 2024/25 season at Maribor, though neither club disclosed a purchase option, leaving the striker’s future after the loan period uncertain.
Tetteh’s transfer follows a difficult season at Metz, where injuries hampered his progress. He made just 13 appearances, with only one start, as he struggled for form and fitness.
Metz confirmed the loan deal, stating, “Benjamin Tetteh will not wear the maroon jersey for the 2024/2025 season. The Ghanaian international is leaving FC Metz and joining Maribor in Slovenia on loan.”
Fans of NK Maribor are eager to see the 26-year-old regain his sharpness and make a strong impact in Slovenia, as Tetteh aims to get his career back on track after a challenging spell in France.
