Carlisle United have made a significant signing in the transfer market, securing Ghanaian forward Daniel Adu-Adjei on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side AFC Bournemouth.
The 19-year-old joined the Cherries from Fulham in 2021 and made his first-team debut for the club in the FA Cup last term.
Prior to that, he had spent time on loan with Leyton Orient, making 10 appearances and scoring one goal for the club.
Adu-Adjei’s arrival is expected to bring a fresh dimension to Carlisle United’s attacking options, with boss Paul Simpson hailing his signing. “He’ll bring something totally different to the forward options we’ve got at the club – he’s prolific in development football, he’s got a great goalscoring record,” Simpson said.
Born and raised in England, Adu-Adjei remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
