Inaki Williams, the Ghanaian striker for Athletic Bilbao, has been nominated for the La Liga Player of the Month in April, making the 7-man shortlist.
Williams performed exceptionally well in the competition, with his team winning twice and drawing twice in April. He scored three goals during this period, one against Espanyol and two against Real Sociedad.
Other nominees include Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo, Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, and Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio, among others.
The winner of the award, sponsored and presented by EA Sports, will be determined through fan voting. Araujo is a strong candidate for the award, having performed well throughout the month.
In the current season, Williams has scored eight goals in 28 matches in La Liga and provided two assists.
