Tanzanian football giants Simba SC have officially unveiled Ghanaian forward Jonathan Sowah as their latest signing in the ongoing transfer window.
The 25-year-old joins Simba from Singida Black Stars, a club he joined midway through last season. Despite arriving in the second round, Sowah made an instant impact—scoring an impressive 13 goals to finish the campaign as the third-highest scorer in the Tanzanian Premier League.
His explosive form attracted serious attention, with both Simba SC and their fierce rivals, Young Africans SC, showing interest. However, Sowah has opted to wear the red shirt of Simba, popularly known as the “Lions.”
While details of the contract remain undisclosed, sources suggest he has signed a two-year deal with an option for extension.
Jonathan Sowah has two caps for the Black Stars of Ghana, making his debut in a friendly against Algeria in September 2023.
