Ghanaian forward Malik Abubakari is poised to reunite with Swedish outfit Malmo FF this month following the conclusion of his loan stint at Danish club Viborg FF.
Viborg has opted against exercising the purchase option for the 24-year-old, who registered two goals in 13 appearances during his loan tenure.
Abubakari, whose contract with Malmo FF runs until December 2025, brings an impressive pedigree, having clinched titles in both the Swedish championship and cup. He also boasts accolades from the Slovak and Finnish leagues.
Beginning his European journey in Portugal, the former Charity Stars player showcased his talent at clubs such as Vizela, Moreirense, and Casa Pia.
Since his arrival at Malmo FF in 2021, Abubakari has embarked on loan spells at various clubs, including HJK Helsinki, Slovan Bratislava, and most recently, Viborg FF.
His return to Malmo FF marks a fresh start as he looks to re-establish himself with the Swedish side and bolster their campaign.
Abubakari’s journey exemplifies his adaptability and versatility across diverse leagues and teams.
