Ghanaian striker Michael Sarpong and his AS Kigali side have qualified for the 2021/2022 Rwanda Peace Cup finals.
The “Citizens” drew 2-2 with Police FC in the semi finals second leg game at the Kigali Stadium on Wednesday but sailed through on a 3-2 aggregate after winning the first encounter 1-0.
Sarpong featured in the first leg but was on the bench on Wednesday as goals from Nigerian forward Abubakar Lawal and Burundian hit man Shaban Hussein ensured that AS Kigali got a draw.
Sarpong signed a three-month deal deal with AS Kigali in March this year and he could extend it if they qualify for the CAF Confederations Cup by winning the Peace Cup.
