Nineteen-year-old Ghanaian attacking midfielder Cameron Ashia played the hero for Huddersfield Town, scoring an 88th-minute header to secure a crucial point in a 2–2 League One draw against Blackpool.
Huddersfield found themselves in a difficult position after falling two goals behind, but showed resilience to mount a spirited comeback. With time running out, Ashia rose highest in the box to power home a late header, completing the turnaround and ensuring his side avoided defeat.
The goal highlighted the youngster’s growing influence, particularly as an impact player. Despite starting just two of his 14 appearances this season, Ashia has already made a strong impression, contributing three goals and two assists.
His ability to come off the bench and change games is quickly making him a valuable option for Huddersfield, with his latest strike underlining his knack for delivering in decisive moments.
