Former Accra Lions star Evans Botchway shone brightly for IF Brommapojkarna, netting twice in their dominant 5-0 victory over IFK Östersund in a Swedish Cup match this evening.
The match kicked off with an early goal from Syria international midfielder Daleho Irandust, who put Brommapojkarna ahead in the 12th minute at the Jämtkraft Arena.
Ghanaian teenager Botchway extended the lead just two minutes before halftime, doubling Brommapojkarna’s advantage with a well-taken goal.
Shortly after the break, Botchway struck again, scoring his second goal of the match with a fine finish, further cementing the visitors’ control.
The Icelandic defender Hlynur Freyr Karlsson added to the scoreline in the 62nd minute, before midfielder Ludvig Fritzson capped off the comprehensive win with a late goal just before the final whistle.
Botchway, who joined Brommapojkarna in April after a stint with Kowa Naso and Accra Lions, has now scored four goals across all competitions in Sweden. The 18-year-old’s performance in this match highlights his growing influence and potential in European football.
