Young Ghanaian forward Ernest Poku found the back of the net for AZ Alkmaar U19 in the 2022-23 UEFA Youth League on Tuesday afternoon.
He scored for the Dutch side as they qualified to the knockout round of the UEFA Youth League on Tuesday with a sweet strike against Serbian side Red Star Belgrade.
The Ghanaian teen attacker grabbed the opening goal of the match after 77 minutes to put the visitors 1-0 up after a goalless first 45 minutes of the match.
The hosts scored the equalizer 10 minutes later after going down Stefan Lekovic in the match which ended 1-1 at the Vozdovac Stadium.
As the first leg ending 2-2 last week in Netherlands, the game had to be decided by post match penalty shootouts with AZ advancing with a 7-6 win.
Poku scored in the 77th minute to give the visitors the lead before Red Star equalised ten minutes later through Stefan Lekovic.
AZ won 4-3 in the penalty shootouts after a 3-3 aggregate scoreline after the two legs.
The 18-year-old versatile Ghana forward born in the Netherlands has three goals in four matches in the Youth League this season
He has also scored two goals and three assists in four matches in the Eredivisie U18 league this season.
