Black Queens forward, Doris Boaduwaa displayed her scoring prowess by netting two goals for ZFK Spartak Subotica in their 2-1 victory over KuPS on Saturday afternoon in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Boaduwaa was a starter in the match held at the Køge Stadium and played the entire 90 minutes.
KuPS initiated the action with a throw-in from the right side in the third minute, nearly sending the ball into the penalty box. Aino Kroger, the most alert player among those positioned in front of the goal, seized the opportunity and slotted the ball past the defenseless Jefimija Skandro, finding the Spartak goal from close range to give the Finnish women an early advantage.
However, the lead held by the Finnish side was short-lived as Doris Boaduwaa, positioned in the penalty area, received the ball and promptly equalized just eight minutes later. Boaduwaa almost celebrated her second goal in the 26th minute, but it was disallowed due to an offside call.
In the 63rd minute, Ann Mackenzie Langdok delivered a precise pass to Doris Boaduwaa, who skillfully extended Spartak’s lead to 2-1 with a remarkable play in front of the goal.
Unfortunately for Spartak, Ann Mackenzie Langdok received her second yellow card and was subsequently sent off in the 80th minute.
