Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Addai showcased his prowess in Alcorcon’s 1-1 draw against Real Valladolid in the La Liga 2 Bundesliga, leaving a significant impact on the match held at the Estadio Santo Domingo.
Despite the competitive clash between the two teams, with Real Valladolid holding a historical advantage in head-to-head encounters, Addai’s presence on the field proved vital throughout the 72 minutes he played. Despite Real Valladolid’s dominance in possession, Alcorcon managed to create more shooting opportunities.
The opening goal occurred in the 14th minute when Fede Vico of Alcorcon found the net with a left-footed shot from the center of the box to the bottom right corner, courtesy of a brilliant assist from Emmanuel Addai, showcasing his vision and passing skills.
However, Real Valladolid leveled the score in the 66th minute, courtesy of a left-footed strike from former Manchester City striker Álvaro Negredo, assisted by Víctor Meseguer with a headed pass. The match ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw, with both teams earning a point.
Addai, 22, has proven to be a valuable asset for Alcorcon this season, featuring in 34 games, scoring three goals, and providing four assists in La Liga 2.
Currently positioned 20th on the league table with 42 points after 40 games, Alcorcon, known as Los Alfareros, will face Levante in their next league fixture on May 26th.
