Ghanaian winger Joseph Amoako has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to those who played a crucial role in securing his move to Georgian top-flight side FC Samtredia.
The 21-year-old completed a three-year deal with an option to extend for another year on Monday and took to social media to thank God, his agent, family, and others who stood by him during his challenging times.
“It has been a great test these couple of years, but I’m forever grateful to God, my agent, my advisor, my parents and some very important people that stood up with me in my difficult times, now God has done it again and we gonna celebrate this win together regardless,” Amoako wrote on Instagram.
The winger parted ways with Asante Kotoko in August 2023 before joining United Arab Emirate side TFA Dubai. He is expected to play a key role for FC Samtredia in the upcoming campaign as they aim to make a meaningful impact.
Amoako’s journey was marked by controversy after he was charged with rape while playing for Swedish club Helsingborgs IF. However, he was later cleared of the charges after it was discovered that he was wrongly convicted.
The winger will look to put the past behind him and focus on his football career with FC Samtredia.
