Osman Bukari’s exceptional display for Red Star Belgrade against Vojvodina earned him a well-deserved spot on Sofascore’s Serbia Superliga Team of the Week.
As the 2023/24 Serbian Superliga season commenced, Bukari, the winger, shone brightly for Red Star Belgrade on Sunday evening. Starting for his team in the clash against Vojvodina, which took place at the home grounds of the defending league champions, he delivered a standout performance.
In the game, Red Star Belgrade got off to a strong start, with Jean-Philippe Krasso scoring the opening goal. Before the first-half break, an own goal from Radomir Milosavljević added to the home team’s lead, making it 2-0.
In the 51st minute, Jean-Philippe Krasso secured his second goal, extending the lead to three goals in favor of Red Star Belgrade. However, the real show came from Ghana’s own Osman Bukari.
He showcased his skills and prowess on the field, providing an assist for Vladimir Lucic to score in the 70th minute. And just ten minutes later, Bukari himself found the back of the net, sealing an impressive 5-0 victory for Red Star Belgrade by the end of the 90 minutes.
With his electrifying pace and brilliant performance, Bukari has picked up where he left off last season and appears set to play a crucial role for his team in the upcoming season as well.
