Chris Hughton, the Black Stars’ head coach, has emphasized Ghana’s need to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Ivory Coast.
The continental championship, which will take place in only five months, is something that the Black Stars are aiming to return to.
Ghana is in first place in Group E with nine points. The Central African Republic (CAR) is in third place with seven points, followed in order by Angola, which has eight points.

On September 3, Hughton’s team plays CAR at Kumasi, Ghana, in their final group match; a win or a draw secures the Black Stars’ spot in Ivory Coast.
