Red Star Belgrade celebrated a resounding 3-0 victory over OFK Vrsac in the Serbian Cup Quarter-final, with Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari making a triumphant comeback from injury.
The match kicked off with Šljivić setting up Stamenić, whose shot was saved by the opposition goalkeeper. However, Red Star broke the deadlock in the sixth minute, courtesy of Aleksandar Katai’s goal.
Bukari, sidelined due to injury, entered the fray in the 59th minute. His impact was immediate, as he combined brilliantly with Cherif Ndiaye six minutes later to double Red Star’s lead. Ndiaye’s adept control and finish left goalkeeper Filip Nović helpless, extending the lead to 2-0.
Bukari’s contribution didn’t stop there. In the 82nd minute, a corner from Guelor Kanga found Nemanja Milunovic, who then assisted Bukari for the third goal, sealing a comprehensive victory for Red Star Belgrade.
With this triumph, Red Star Belgrade now sets its sights on the upcoming Super Liga clash against Zeleznicar Pancevo, buoyed by Bukari’s impressive return to form.
