Promsing Ghanaian defender Godfred Boakye, is currently part of Birmingham City‘s first team squad for their pre-season games ahead of the 2025/26 EFL Championship season.
Boakye, 19, was born in Belgium, Leuven to both Ghanaian parents and is eligible to represent Ghana as well if he wishes to play for the West African giants.
Having signed his first pro contract with Birmingham City in 2024, the talented defender seems to have caught the attension of the club’s teachnical handlers with his impressive performance during training sessions. In view of that, they have added him to the senior side who are presently busily preparing for the new season.
So far, Boakye, has played two pre-season friendly games for the club against Nothampton Town FC, Burton Albion and Solihull Moors FC.
