Ghanaian forward Cornelius Mawuli Agbenyegah has finalized an exciting transfer from Shabab Al Ahly FC to UAE Pro League side Al-Ittihad Kalba.
The 20-year-old, affectionately known as “Cikay,” showcased his talent during an impressive loan spell at Emirates FC, capturing the attention of Al-Ittihad Kalba with his notable performances.
Versatile and skillful, Agbenyegah made a significant impact with crucial goals and assists, and he is expected to be a key player at his new club. His left foot has drawn comparisons to Ghanaian legend Sulley Muntari, while his pace and fluidity have earned him comparisons to French icon Thierry Henry.
Agbenyegah began his football journey at the Ghanaian academy Top Talents before moving to MSK Zilina African, a second-division side. He then had a stint at Brazilian club Gremio Novorizontino, where he honed his skills before stepping onto the international stage.
Known for his fearless performances, Agbenyegah possesses impeccable dribbling, game vision, and precise passing. He is also a lethal finisher with both feet and has a reputation for being a set-piece specialist, capable of curling free kicks past even the most formidable defenses.
