Ghanaian teen sensation, Felix Ohene Afena-Gyan has been named as the fastest player in the Italian Serie A.
The youngster ended January as the fastest player in the Italian top-flight, seeing off competition from Italy international Ciro Immobile and Ecuadorian Juan Cuadrado to achieve the great feet.
Afena-Gyan was very instrumental in the month of January, starting games against Juventus, Cagliari and Lecce after his breakthrough later in the year 2021.
The 19-year-old Ghanaian versatile forward had a speed of 35.6 km/h ahead of Lazio’s Ciro Immobile who clocked 35.3 km/h and Juventus’ Juan Cuadrado, who ticked 33.4 km/h.
Young forward, Afena-Gyan has gradually make his way into Jose Mourinho’s starting eleven, often preferred to Eldor Shomurodov who was previously starting in games for Roma before Gyan’s introduction to the first team.
Afena became an important player and made a name for himself when he scored two stupr goals against Genoa late last year, having made his debut against Cagliari earlier in the season.
