Ghana youngster Felix Afena Ohene-Gyan has won the UEFA Europa Conference League trophy with AS Roma on Wednesday evening in Tirana.
The highly-rated striker became the first Ghanaian player to win Uefa Conference League title as AS Roma beat Dutch Eredivisie side Feyenoord 1-0 in the final.
He was an unused substitute in the game by Jose Mourinho as he the Red and Yellows won their first major European Trophy.
Feyenoord dominated the first half but Nicolo Zaniolo opened the scoring for Roma after connecting a pass from Mancini to winning Mourinho’s fifth European Trophy on the night.
The Dutch Eredivisie side were the better in the second half and came close on numerous occasions to find the equaliser, Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio made more than two breathtaking saves to deny them.
Afena Ohene-Gyan is expected to be loaned next season by the club for more opportunities elsewhere.
