Ghanaian defender Issaka Seidu, popularly known as ‘Baba’, has secured a loan move to Swedish football, joining second-tier side Ljungskile SK for the remainder of the year.
The temporary switch from Danish club FC Nordsjælland is aimed at providing the young left-back with valuable playing time and further opportunities to develop his game at a competitive level.
Seidu, who has been part of the prestigious Right to Dream Academy since the age of 12, has steadily progressed through the ranks and is regarded as one of the promising defensive talents to emerge from the system.
After impressing with FC Nordsjælland’s junior side, he earned promotion to the senior team in 2024, marking a significant milestone in his career.
The move to Sweden is expected to offer Seidu consistent minutes on the pitch, allowing him to refine his defensive abilities, gain experience in a new environment, and continue his development on the European stage.
For Ljungskile SK, the acquisition adds youthful energy and defensive depth as they strengthen their squad for the challenges ahead, while Seidu will be keen to make the most of the opportunity and showcase his potential.
