English -born Ghanaian attacker Jesurun Rak- Sakyi made his first Premier League start for Crystal Palace who defeated Manchester United in their final league fixture on Sunday afternoon at Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace manager Patrick Viera trust the promising forward and started him in the game but got subbed in the 67th minute after being replaced by Cheikhou Kouyate.
Striker Winfried Zaha scored the only goal in the game for Crystal Palace in tye 37th minute mark of the game.
Rak-Sakyi, 19, made his club debut in the first game of the season when he was brought on as a substitute during the 3-0 loss against Chelsea, but had to wait until the final day of the season to earn his first start.
The Southwark-born winger, who won the club’s U23 Player of the Season, has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Season award after scoring 18 goals and recording six assists in 25 league appearances for Paddy McCarthy’s side.
