Ghanaian defender Kojo Peprah Oppong has signed for Swedish side GIF Sundsvall for the 2023/24 season.
The former Attram de Visser youngster joins the club from rivals FK Norrkoping on a loan deal until the end of the current season.
The club confirmed the signing for the teenager on Tuesday, August 15.
“We can today announce that Kojo Peprah Oppong, 19, joins from IFK Norrköping to GIF Sundsvall on a loan valid for the end of the season,” a statement read.
Peprah is a defender born in 2004 and was recruited in December 2022 to IFK Norrköping from De Visser Academy in Ghana.
The club’s sporting director, Tommy Naurin said: “In Kojo, we get a young, very fast and physically strong defender who is capable of acting both central and right in the backline.”
“We will tap into his strength in the defensive game in the first place.”
The defender is expected to begin training with his new team immediately.
