Ghanaian talent Mathew Anim Cudjoe has finalized his move to Israeli Premier League club Bnei Sakhnin on a free transfer after leaving Dundee United at the end of the last season.
Upon signing, Cudjoe expressed his optimism, stating, “It’s a new dawn; still eyes on the ultimate. God is the Greatest.”
Bnei Sakhnin is currently positioned ninth in the league after six matches, and Cudjoe is eager to make a significant impact to help improve the team’s performance.
Despite a promising season at Dundee United, where he scored four goals and provided two assists to help the club secure the Scottish Championship title, Cudjoe opted to decline a contract extension. In a previous interview with 3 Sports, he explained, “They offered me a first contract at the start of the season, which I didn’t accept. They presented a second contract, which I also declined, before offering me a third.”
He acknowledged Dundee United’s support during his time there, saying, “Dundee United has been good to me, and I really appreciate it. However, in football, sometimes you have to move forward, go to another team, and gain new experiences.”
