Moldovan top-flight team, Sherif Tiraspol, has successfully signed Ghanaian central defender, Nana Kwame Boakye.
The club announced the deal on Thursday, July 11, marking Boakye’s first professional contract.
The 20-time Moldovan champions shared the signing details on their official website:
“Ghanaian defender Nana Kwame Boakye has become a full-fledged player of FC Sheriff.”
They continued, “The player has spent his entire career in his homeland playing for youth teams. The team of FC Sheriff is happy to welcome Kwame and wishes him good luck in the shirt of our club.”
Boakye, a promising talent, has made six appearances for the Black Satellites since his debut. He made his first substitute appearance for Sherif Tiraspol on Thursday, July 11, in a Europa League qualifier match against FC Zira. However, he did not get a chance to make his debut as Sheriff suffered a 1-0 loss.
