Ghanaian teenage sensation Prince Appiah Amoah has reached an impressive milestone in Europe after taking his goal tally to 20 across all competitions for FK Metta in the ongoing Latvian second-tier campaign.
The promising forward continued his remarkable scoring form at the weekend, finding the back of the net as FK Metta cruised to a commanding 4-0 victory over city rivals Riga Mariners in the Latvian Future League.
Appiah Amoah played a key role in the emphatic triumph, further underlining his growing importance to the club with another impressive attacking display.
The 20-year-old has enjoyed a productive maiden European campaign, with his latest strike taking his tally to 20 goals across all competitions since joining the Latvian outfit.
His goalscoring exploits have been instrumental in FK Metta’s impressive league campaign, with the club sitting top of the Latvia 1. Liga standings on 57 points after 22 matches in the 2026-27 season.
Appiah Amoah’s remarkable progress is also drawing attention to his potential as one of Ghana’s emerging attacking prospects, with the former MSK Zilina Africa product continuing to make significant strides in European football.
His consistency in front of goal could put him on the radar of Ghana’s youth national team handlers as they assess their options for upcoming international assignments.
With Ghana scheduled to host the 2027 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in February and March 2027, Appiah Amoah’s form presents a compelling case for the technical team to closely monitor his development ahead of the tournament.
Maintaining his current scoring rate and continuing to develop his game in Europe could strengthen his chances of earning an opportunity to represent the country at youth level.
For now, the young Ghanaian forward will be focused on sustaining his impressive form and helping FK Metta maintain their position at the summit of the Latvian league as the campaign progresses.
