Black Stars striker Brandon Thomas-Asante is eager to score in his debut match for Coventry City. Despite his high hopes, he didn’t manage to find the net in Coventry’s final preseason game, which ended in a 2-1 loss to Werder Bremen.
Undeterred, Thomas-Asante is now focused on the upcoming season, especially the Championship opener against Stoke City on Saturday, August 10. He recently made his first appearance for Coventry after joining from West Bromwich Albion on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Thomas-Asante is determined to make a significant impact with his new team. “I am over the moon to get to work. I was expecting to get my debut goal but we will save that for my league debut at Stoke,” he shared in an interview with Coventry City media.
He added, “I am super excited and I cannot wait to give the fans something to be excited about.”
