Ghanaian goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi played full throttle for FC St Gallen in Switzerland against FC Luzern in their dramatic comeback win at home.
The 25-year-old produced a match winning save to help his side secure a vital 3-2 victory over the strugglers to move to 5th spot.
The Ghanaian conceded two goals in the first ten minutes of the match but helped his team with one point-blank save to help the Green and Whites to victory.
The visitors started the game on a blistering pace and got their reward very early in the game when Nikola Cumic opened the scoring in the 6th minute.
Three minutes later, Marco Burch made it two to the away team who were cruising inside 10 minutes with a 2-0 advantage.
Issac Schmidt and Lukas Görtler netted a goal each on the 12 and 21st minutes respectively to to restore parity for the Green and Whites outfit.
Seven minutes after the half hour mark, Schmidt set up Kwadwo Duah in the box who’s shot found the bottom left corner to make it 3-2 before the break.
Duah’s goal was enough to seal victory for Ati-Zigi and St Gallen who kept the visitors attackers at bay and the second half to emerge 3-2 victors.
The Ghanaian international goalkeeper has played 26 matches out of 27 matches in the Swiss Super League this season and has kept four clean and one penalty save out of two faced.
