Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Ofori was twice on the scoresheet over the weekend as Moreirense extend their lead at the top of the Portuguese Liga 2.
Ofori was brilliant in his side’s 7-4 thumping of Benfica B as they moved 12 points clear of Farense in a bid for promotion to the top flight.
The midfielder started the game and played out the entire duration as they snatched all three points at home.
The 24-year-old scored the sixth and seventh goals of the day in the thumping win to record his third goal of the season.
Surprisingly, all three of Ofori’s goals this season have come against Benfica B.
