Hearts of Oak head coach and former Black Stars assistant Didi Dramani has shared his expectations for Ghana at the upcoming FIFA World Cup, insisting that progressing beyond the group stage must be the nation’s minimum objective.

Speaking on Akoma 87.9 FM following the official World Cup draw, Dramani expressed optimism about Ghana’s chances, pointing to the experience within the technical team and playing squad as a major advantage.

“Ghana’s main target at the World Cup should be to qualify from the group stage,” Dramani stated.

He further highlighted the importance of experience at the highest level, noting that both the head coach and several members of the squad are familiar with the demands of major international tournaments.

“The coach has significant experience, and some of the players have already been to the World Cup before. That experience gives us confidence, and I believe we can do well in the competition,” he added.

Ghana have been drawn into a demanding group featuring England, Panama, and Croatia, a blend of established powerhouses and ambitious nations. While acknowledging the difficulty of the group, Dramani believes the Black Stars possess the right mix of seasoned internationals and emerging talents to compete strongly.

As preparations intensify, the Black Stars will be focused on fine-tuning their tactical approach and maintaining their attacking identity, with the aim of navigating the group successfully and leaving a strong mark on football’s biggest stage.
