Ghana’s Majeed Ashimeru has been named in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League Team-Of-The-Week following a splendid performance against KRC Genk.

The box-to-box midfielder who could also play as a playmaker has been in a fine form recently for the Purple And Whites outfit in the Belgium top-flight.

Following a dazzling display in the last round of matches in the 2021-22 Belgium Jupiler Pro League for Anderlecht, the former RB Salzburg man has walked into the Eleven Sports Team-Of-The-Week.

The Ghanaian international, Majeed Ashimeru was on target for RSC Anderlecht in their emphatic win over KRC Genk in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.

The former WAFA SC player scored his team’s first goal in their 2-0 home win over against the Blue and Whites outfit on Sunday evening.

Ashimeru scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up after 36 minutes of action with a sweet finish from the center of the box into the bottom right corner.

Yari Verschaeren made it 2-0 for the Purple And Whites outfit as they ended the first half with a healthy lead at the break.

Kristoffer Olsson replaced the Ghanaian international after 81 minutes when his side was cruising to a 2-0 win.

The 24-year-old versatile midfielder has three goals and three assists in 26 games this season in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League for the giants, Anderlecht.
