Ghana’s Abdul Majeed Waris was on target for Strasbourg Alsace in the French Ligue 1 against Girondin Bordeaux on Sunday evening.
The Ghanaian forward grabbed his second goal in a second game running in the French top-flight.
Bordeaux scored three goals in the first half inside 40 minutes before Kevin Gameiro reduced the deficit to two at half time with a 43rd minute strike.
Twelve minutes after the break, Gameiro scored his second to make it 3-2 with just one goal in it after 57 minutes.
Ui-Jo Hwang grabbed his hat-trick to restore the home team’s two goals advantage inside 90 minutes.
Substitute, Waris scored a consolation goal in the additional time period of the match but his goal was not enough to as his side succumbed to a 3-4 defeat on the road.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian forward has two goals in his last two appearances in the league.
