Parliamentary select committee chairman on sports, Hon. Johnson Kwaku Adu says parliament will invite the Minister of Youth and Sports as well as the Ghana Football Association to a meeting on Tuesday, January 25.
The meeting is said to be around the performance of the Black Stars in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Ghana put out arguably their worst performance at the continental showpiece, picking up just a point from their three group stage games against Morocco, Gabon and Comoros as they finished bottom of the standings in Group C.
Looking to look more into what resulted in such performances, Kwaku Adu revealed the MoYS and the GFA are set to meet with parliament next week.
“Parliament will summon sports minister and the GFA on a crunch meeting on Tuesday on the floor of parliament on Black Stars’ abysmal performance in the AFCON,” he said on Light FM sports.
The MoYS and the GFA have already taken a decision following the dismissal of head coach, Milovan Rajevac.
