Ghana’s left-back Gideon Mensah is set to miss Black Stars game against The Lone Stars of Liberia on Tuesday evening at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The France-based Ghana defender has picked up a slight injury at camp and could miss Tuesday’s game against the west Africa country in an international friendly game.
Gideon was a second half substitute in Ghana’s hard earned 2-1 comeback win over the Wild Beast of Central African Republic last Thursday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi in the last match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
He came on to replace injured PAOK defender Baba Abdul Rahman who has been ruled out of the match and is also set to miss the game which has led to the inclusion of Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC left-back Fatawu Hamidu.
Ghana’s Black Stars game against The Lone Stars of Liberia will kickoff at 4pm on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in Accra.
Black Stars are slated to play two other friendly games against the USA and Mexico. These matches serve as crucial preparation for the challenging 2026 World Cup qualifiers, set to commence in November
