John Dramani Mahama, former President of the Republic of Ghana, has extended goodwill wishes to the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of their Friday’s international friendly against Brazil in Le Havre, France.
Ghana will face the South American team in a pre-World Cup friendly and the China-based attacker has taken to social media to wish the Black Stars team the very best in the match.
The Samba Boys enter the game unbeaten in 13 games, having scored 30 goals in that time.
The former Stateman, took to social media to offer his support to the team.
“Soccer matches between Ghana and Brazil are always exciting to watch. In today’s friendly at the senior level, the odds seem to favour the Brazilians, but I trust our gallant team, the Black Stars. They play best as underdogs, they will rise to the occasion and make us proud.
“Go Black Stars Go!” He wrote on his official Facebook page.
The South American giants have assembled a strong squad, which includes Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar and Real Madrid duo Vinicuis Jr. and Rodrygo.
Meanwhile, Ghana will also on the 27th of September engage in another friendly against Nicaragua before they later play Switzerland on 17th November, 2022.
