Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC have appointed goalkeeper Benjamin Mensah as assistant goalkeeper’s trainer according to Phobianews.com
He joined the Rainbow Boys in November 2016 having previously played for Accra Great Olympics, New Edubiase FC and King Faisal Babes.
He won three major trophies with the club, lifting the MTN FA Cup twice and one Ghana Premier League trophy.
The 39-year-old former New Edubiase United FC shot stopper has fallen in the pecking order at the club for the past two seasons.
With the likes of Richard Attah, Richmond Ayi, Richard Baidoo and Benjamin Nana Yeboah and talks of Eric Ofori Antwi and Frederick Asare joining the Phobians, Mensah’s position is under threat ahead of the 2022-23 season.
He’s now set to for the assisting coaching role at the club beginning this season due to his loyal and dedicated services to the Rainbow Boys.
