Ghanaian born English goalkeeper Joseph Tetteh Anang has outlined his aims and aspirations for the new season.
Anang joined Derby County on loan from West Ham this summer and he insists his motive is to help the club qualify back to the Championship.
“I just want to get some games and help the team get back to the Championship because they are a Championship team,” he told Derbyshire Live. “It’s a massive step up. They had 27,000 fans at the game on Saturday which is crazy. The fans are loud and the numbers are high.
“We all know how massive this club is. They are a top Championship club and the style of play is very attractive. I watched them in a friendly against Hertha Berlin and I really liked it. In these first few league games gone ‘bam, bam, bam’ so happy days.”
Anang, 22, played last season on loan at Irish outfit St. Patrick where he was in post for 24 games, conceded 22 goals and kept ten clean sheets.
