Frimpong Manso, the coach of Bibiani Gold Stars, was overjoyed after their impressive win against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
In the final game of Matchday 24, played at Accra Sports Stadium, Mawuli Wayo’s goal in the 78th minute secured victory for Manso’s team, marking their first win as the visiting team in the latter part of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
Manso, reflecting on the victory, highlighted the team’s progress throughout the season.
“I see improvement in the team. In our last seven games, we’ve won four, drawn two, and lost one. This away win against Hearts of Oak in Accra is especially meaningful,” said Manso, who previously coached Bofoakwa Tano.
Currently positioned 11th in the Premier League standings with 32 points, Gold Stars are preparing to face Karela United next on Wednesday, April 10, at 15:00 GMT at DUN’s Park.
