Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu has finally started light training in France after picking up an injury on his return to his club after the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.
He has begun running on the field again though he’s yet to hit his stride and is expected to rejoin team training after the international break.
The versatile defender has been key for Clermont Foot this season, making 20 appearances in Ligue 1 before suffering the injury setback.
Seidu was part of Ghana’s squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, making two appearances as the Black Stars exited the competition at the group stage.
He will miss the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola this month in Kumasi and Luanda respectively.
