Bechem United secured a vital 2-1 victory over Aduana FC in a lively local derby at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday, giving themselves a significant boost in their battle against relegation. The win was crucial for the Hunters, who had been under pressure in the lower half of the Ghana Premier League table.

The match started at a fast pace, with both teams showing intent to take control early. Bechem United drew first blood in the opening minutes when Augustine Okrah calmly finished a well-worked move, giving the home side an early lead and energizing the supporters in the stands.

Aduana FC quickly responded to the setback, refusing to let Bechem dominate the encounter. Emmanuel Marfo found the back of the net to level the score, ensuring that the first half remained highly competitive and full of intensity.

Bechem United regained the advantage before halftime, with Yaw Acheampong scoring a decisive goal. His strike came from a precise finish, capping off a strong team move and giving the hosts the lead heading into the break. The first half had produced three goals, keeping the fans entertained throughout.

In the second half, Aduana tried to push for an equalizer, launching several attacks and creating a few chances. However, Bechem United’s defense held firm, showing resilience and composure under pressure. The Hunters managed to protect their lead through disciplined defending and effective game management.

The victory lifts Bechem United out of the relegation zone and brings them within two points of safety, offering hope and momentum for their remaining matches. The result will serve as a morale boost for the team as they continue their fight to remain in the top flight.

For Aduana FC, the loss is a setback in their pursuit of the league title. The defeat leaves them in fifth place, seven points behind the leaders, and adds pressure to their upcoming fixtures. Bechem United, meanwhile, can take confidence from both the result and the performance, demonstrating their ability to secure points in crucial encounters.
