The Ex-National Goalkeepers Union has shortlisted four outstanding shot-stoppers for the Premier League Goalkeeper of the Month Award for January, following a series of commanding performances for their respective clubs. The nominees are Benjamin Asare (Hearts of Oak SC), Benjamin Kwesi Asiedu (Bechem United), Musah Zakari (FC Samartex 1996) and Rahman Osman (Dreams FC).

Benjamin Asare (Hearts of Oak SC)

Benjamin Asare enjoyed an excellent month, keeping clean sheets in all three league matches he featured in. His performances helped Hearts of Oak SC remain unbeaten, recording two wins and one draw. Despite playing fewer games than his rivals, Asare’s influence was decisive as the Phobians climbed to third place on the league table.

Benjamin Kwesi Asiedu (Bechem United)

Asiedu delivered a strong and consistent showing for Bechem United, registering three clean sheets in four league appearances. He guided his side to three victories and suffered just one defeat, conceding only two goals across the month and anchoring Bechem United’s solid run of form.

Musah Zakari (FC Samartex 1996)

Musah Zakari was simply sensational in January, keeping four clean sheets in four league matches for FC Samartex 1996. Unbeaten throughout the month with three wins and one draw, his sharp reflexes and consistency have been central to the Timber Giants’ push for a top-four finish.

Rahman Osman (Dreams FC)

Rahman Osman featured in the most matches among the nominees during January. The young goalkeeper recorded three clean sheets, three wins and two draws, conceding just three goals in the process. His maturity and reliability between the posts were key to Dreams FC’s steady performances during the period.
