Berekum Chelsea produced a spirited second-half comeback to defeat Asante Kotoko 2-1 in their Ghana Premier League encounter, scoring twice after falling behind to claim all three points.
The Porcupine Warriors appeared to have taken control of the contest in the 60th minute when Adam Inusah stepped up to convert a penalty, giving Kotoko a 1-0 lead and putting pressure on the home side.
However, Berekum Chelsea responded almost immediately, refusing to allow Kotoko to enjoy their advantage for long. Zackaria Fuseini restored parity in the 65th minute with a crucial equaliser to bring the score to 1-1 and revive Chelsea’s hopes of securing a positive result.
The equaliser shifted the momentum of the contest as both sides sought to find a decisive goal. Berekum Chelsea eventually completed the turnaround to record a 2-1 victory over the Porcupine Warriors.
The result represents a disappointing outcome for Asante Kotoko, who had taken the lead but were unable to protect their advantage, while Berekum Chelsea celebrated an important victory in their Premier League campaign.
