Dreams FC and Hearts of Oak have played out a goalless draw in their Week Five encounter in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League at the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday.
The result leaves Dreams FC still searching for their first league victory of the season, despite showing signs of improvement in their performance.
Both teams struggled to create clear scoring opportunities in a largely balanced encounter, with neither side able to take control of the game or seriously test the opposing goalkeeper.
Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, who recently returned from Black Stars duty, had a relatively quiet afternoon as Dreams FC struggled to make meaningful progress in the attacking third.
The two sides enjoyed spells of possession but lacked the urgency and creativity needed to break the deadlock, resulting in a second consecutive goalless meeting between the clubs.
For Dreams FC, the draw extends their wait for a first league win of the campaign, increasing the pressure on head coach Wilfred Dormon and his players to improve their attacking performance.
Despite the improved display, Dreams FC will need to show greater determination, creativity and precision in front of goal if they are to turn their performances into victories.
Hearts of Oak head coach Nebojsa Kapor also acknowledged his team’s difficulties in moving the ball forward effectively, stressing the need to create more scoring opportunities in their subsequent matches.
The Phobians temporarily move into second place on the league table, although their position could change depending on the results of other matches scheduled for the weekend.
The draw also means Hearts of Oak have now gone two consecutive league matches without a victory, leaving the team under pressure to return to winning ways.
Hearts of Oak will next host newly promoted Port City FC as they seek to get their campaign back on track.
Dreams FC, meanwhile, will travel to Tamale to face Karela United, hoping to secure their first league victory of the season and ease the growing pressure on the technical team.
