The Phobians managed to secure an important victory against Yaw Acheampong’s side despite finishing the game with 10 men at the Legon Sports Stadium.

Accra Hearts of Oak claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Legon Cities in a thrilling Ghana Premier League encounter on Friday night at the Legon Stadium in Accra. The match lived up to its billing, with both teams giving their all in a tightly contested affair.

The only goal of the game came in dramatic fashion just before halftime. Yusif Ahmed Ramzy became the hero for Hearts of Oak, finding the back of the net in the dying moments of the first 45 minutes. His well-timed strike proved decisive, giving the Phobians a crucial edge.

Legon Cities pushed hard for an equalizer throughout the second half. Despite their spirited efforts, they were unable to break through the resolute Hearts of Oak defense. The home side created a few chances but struggled to convert them into goals.

They defended their lead with composure, frustrating the Legon Cities attackers and ensuring the slim margin remained intact.

The win provides a significant boost to Hearts of Oak as they continue their campaign in the Ghana Premier League. Legon Cities, meanwhile, will aim to bounce back in their next game after coming so close to snatching a point.
