Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has snubbed the local players in Ghana despite watching Ghana Premier League games week in week out.
The Ghana trainer did not invite a single home-based player for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar in Antananarivo on June 18.
Despite watching a chunk of games in the 2022-23 Ghana Premier League, the tactician opted against handing a call-up to any of the stars in the domestic league.
He snubbed top scorers like Abednego Tetteh of Bibiani Gold Stars FC with 16 goals, Hafiz Konkoni of Bechem United FC with 15 goals and Samsonite Eduku of Tamale City with 14 goals in favour of Kwasi Okyere Wriedt who has seven goals in Germany Bundesliga 2.
The Black Stars Coach has selected a 24-player group for the trip to Antananarivo on Sunday, June 18, 2023.
