In a tense showdown at the WAFA Park in Sogakope, Bofoakwa Tano fought back to secure a 1-1 draw against Hearts of Oak in a thrilling Ghana Premier League encounter.
The match saw Salifu Ibrahim strike first for Hearts of Oak, giving them an early lead. However, Emmanuel Agyenim Boateng’s goal for Bofoakwa Tano in the second half ensured the match ended in a stalemate.
The draw halted Hearts of Oak’s two-game winning streak under new head coach Aboubakar Ouattara, leaving them in the 8th position on the league table.
For Bofoakwa Tano, the draw did little to improve their relegation battle, as they remained second from bottom in the league standings.
With the result, Hearts of Oak are now set to face Dreams FC in their next fixture, while Bofoakwa Tano will take on Gold Stars as they continue their fight to avoid relegation.
