Eleven Wonders have booked their spot in the Championship playoff to determine the team that will qualify for the Premier League from Zone One.
They achieved this after securing a convincing 2-0 victory over Wa Suntaa in their penultimate game of the season.
Prince Baffoe and Edward Ansah were the goal scorers for Eleven Wonders, with their goals coming in the first and second halves, respectively.
With this win, the Techiman-based team secures the top spot in Zone B, regardless of the results of other matches. They finish the season with 50 points, a comfortable 4 points ahead of second-placed Debibi United, with one more game left to play.
In the upcoming playoff, Eleven Wonders will face the winners of Zone B, Bofoakwa Tano. The playoff match is scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, May 30.
The victor of the playoff will earn promotion to the Premier League, joining Aduana FC, Berekum Chelsea, Bechem United, Real Tamale United, Tamale City, and Nsoatreman FC as the teams representing Zone One in the betPawa Premier League.
Due to limited resources and the recurring tension and violence in the Zone, Zone One of the Division One League was divided into two zones. This restructuring aimed to address the challenges faced, especially in the three Northern Regions, and ensure a more conducive and peaceful environment for football.
